Moonchild Shared with Love Foundation is the nonprofit heart of Moonchild Maternity Exchange. Our mission is to support mothers and families by providing free baby and maternity essentials, emotional support, and community connection.

💫 What We Do:

• New Mommy Boxes: Thoughtfully curated kits for new and expecting moms in need

• Emergency Support: Diapers, formula, clothing, and care items for families facing hardship

• Free Donation Area: Gently used essentials, available to any mom who needs them

• Community Outreach: Local partnerships, resource guides, and (coming soon) support circles

🤝 How You Can Help:

• Donate new or gently used items

• Make a tax-deductible monetary donation

• Host a donation drive or fundraiser

• Volunteer to help sort, pack, or organize
  

🤝 How does the Nonprofit Works with the Store?

Moonchild Shared with Love Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Moonchild Maternity Exchange is a for-profit resale and consignment shop.
We are legally and financially separate but operate with one shared mission:
To support mothers in every phase of motherhood.

Here’s how the partnership works:

🍼 Donations

The Foundation accepts donated maternity and baby items from the community.
Items are:

• Given away for free through our Shared with Love donation area

• Used to create baby boxes and emergency kits for moms in crisis

• Sold in bulk to the store (at a board-approved fair rate) if not needed for direct services

🛍️ Store Support

The retail store supports the nonprofit by:

• Donating space for the Shared with Love area inside the shop

• Hosting community drives and fundraisers

• Donating a portion of all sales to the Foundation.

• Acting as a daily outreach point for moms who need help

💵 How the Money Works

• All donations and nonprofit proceeds stay with the Foundation and fund its programs

• The store purchases eligible items from the Foundation at fair rates (approved by the board)

• The store keeps its income from consignment and vendor sales.

🎯 Why This Model Works

It allows us to:

• Serve more families through free and low-cost access to essentials

• Fund our programs through a sustainable mix of donations and mission-driven sales

• Maintain integrity and full IRS compliance while doing maximum good for our community
